MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – A new executive director is taking over at the Magic City Discovery Center.
Mike McCloud previously served as the Facility Director for the Minot, Bismarck and Fargo Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch.
He also is highly involved in the community as a member of the Safe Communities of Minot and Minot Area Safety Associations, and he was involved with the state patrol for nearly two decades.
McCloud will work with the board on strategic planning, along with budgeting and obtaining grants.
He said he’s looking forward to helping the “hidden gem” on Minot’s north hill grow and encourages families to visit the center.
“Just to bring families the opportunity to have an educational experience that’s interactive and educational at the same time,” said McCloud.
McCloud takes over for Wendy Keller who recently retired.
The Discovery Center is open every day except Tuesday and welcomes birthday parties, field trips and classes.
